**Overview:** Develops analytical skills and grows investment management industry knowledge while supporting more experienced Analysts. **Primary Responsibilities:** + Develop a strong knowledge of the state of the investment management industry and capital markets. + Build a strong reputation within the organization + Assist with preparing investment materials and other collateral. + Monitor existing investments and participate in due diligence calls with Senior Analysts. + Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. + Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand. + Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable. + Complete other related duties as assigned. **Education and Experience Required:** Bachelor’s degree, or in lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 4 years’ higher education and/or work experience Proficiency in pertinent spreadsheet software Demonstrated desire to work in investment management **Education and Experience Preferred:** Investment management experience Highly analytical Research-driven skill set Experience using with common industry tools M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
