Job Title: Research Associate
Job Description

Support the team in establishing in vitro models of age-related neurodegenerative diseases aimed at target validation and mechanistic biology. Set up new protocols or optimize existing protocols for iPSC-derived cell models. Design and execute genetic perturbation experiments in iPSC-derived cell models. Work closely with translational neuroscience, research, and technologies to characterize complex cellular models of diseases. Establish quality control and reproducibility standards for the cell culture systems. Analyze, interpret data and rigorously document protocols, raw data, and results.

ResponsibilitiesEstablish in vitro models of age-related neurodegenerative diseases.Set up new protocols or optimize existing protocols for iPSC-derived cell models.Design and execute genetic perturbation experiments in iPSC-derived cell models.Collaborate with translational neuroscience, research, and technologies to characterize complex cellular models of diseases.Establish quality control and reproducibility standards for the cell culture systems.Analyze and interpret data, rigorously documenting protocols, raw data, and results.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree with 2+ years of experience in basic molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology techniques.Experience in iPSC differentiation (neurons, microglia, etc.) and maintenance protocols.Experience in basic histology methodologies (sectioning, staining, and imaging techniques).Experience in molecular biology and biochemistry methods such as nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, NGS, western blotting, ELISA, and immunofluorescence.Good communication and organizational skills.Experience working in collaborative teams.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in genome editing is a plus.Work Environment
