About This Role:
The Research Associate is part of Forrester’s Future of Work team. The Research Associate will work with a team of analysts whose research and advisory will equip business leaders with the tools and resources to evolve their strategy.
This team will carry out primary research, perform technology and business analysis, write actionable reports, and advise clients to help advance the initiatives and success of leaders and the business professionals they support. Clients work with Forrester to inform and accelerate their strategic decisions, understand software market trends, and compare their strategy with industry best practices.
The Research Associate will play a key role supporting the team’s analysts to produce high-quality reports, presentations, and client advisory materials. This individual will report to a research operations manager and will support four analysts.
Job Description:
Manage research projects by working with assigned analysts, formulating a project plan, establishing a check-in process, coordinating research, and managing schedule.Assist analysts with primary and secondary research for published reports, including qualitative interviews, online surveys, quantitative analysis, and internal and third-party data.Support analyst presentations with well-formatted charts, appropriate callouts, meaningful titles, and a slide sequence that tells a story.Maintain the report production schedule, from inception through publication.Learn to conduct and be responsible for quantitative work with Forrester’s datasets.Assist in collecting and analyzing team performance metrics through data dashboards.Coordinate the use of social media platforms (e.g., blogs, Twitter, and online community) in the research and publishing process.Provide exceptional client engagement support for analysts during client guidance sessions, helping to prepare for sessions and capturing notes and action items.Job Requirements:
A BA/BS degree with a strong academic record. All undergraduate majors are welcome to apply; any quantitative or statistics interest is a major plus.One to two years of varied undergraduate or postgraduate work experience.A working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.The ability to write precisely, logically, and professionally.Attention to detail and the ability to build reusable resources such as survey questions and formatted data outputs.The ability and willingness to actively engage intellectually with colleagues, including more senior colleagues such as analysts.Enthusiasm to learn about technology and its impact on business and society.The ability to multitask and work independently with a team under tight deadlines.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Interest in software development and supporting developers.We’re a network of knowledge and experience leading to richer, fuller careers.
