Job Description
Join our In vitro Cell Culture team, where you'll engage in chemistry lab work with a strong focus on biology. Your primary tasks will involve working with biological samples like plasma, blood, urine, and feces, both from animals and humans. The goal is to find trends in these samples through data analysis. You will support the in-life team by processing samples and running basic wet chemistry techniques. You will maintain and grow cell lines, operate Mass Spec, and conduct extractions.
ResponsibilitiesWork with biological samples such as plasma, blood, urine, and feces.Process samples from both animal and human sources.Run basic wet chemistry techniques like pipetting, cell counting, and centrifuge.Maintain and grow cell lines for assays.Operate Mass Spec and perform extractions.Handle studies from start to finish using cell lines, blood, or plasma.Seed cells onto assay plates and harvest plates.Run extractions and analytical techniques like plate reader, LC-MS, and radio reader compounds.Essential SkillsB.S. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or related life science degree.3-4 years of experience running assays.Proficiency in sterile technique.Accurate pipetting skills.Experience with Thermo QE Mass Spec.Additional Skills & QualificationsMasters or Ph.D. in related life science degree is a plus.In vitro DNPK experience is a plus.PCR experience is a plus.Scientific mindset with the ability to perform development work.Experience with bioanalytical samples and wet chemistry.Work EnvironmentBusy lab environment within the Metabolism In-vitro team. The work involves close collaboration with the in-life team. While in-life can forecast their work 6+ months ahead, metabolism can only forecast 6-8 weeks ahead. The team is trying out hiring a contingent workforce to help with busy work.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
