The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences, at theUniversity of Maryland School of Medicine(UMSOM)seeksa Research Associate.Thesuccessfulapplicant willhave experience and strong publication records in developmental biology, stem cell biology, reproductive biology, autophagy, and birth defects, especially in murine cardiogenesis and neural tube development.Thecandidatewill contribute toresearch focusing on the genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of maternal diabetes-induced birth defects and safeguard, authenticate and store all data in the lab using available data/image forensic tools. * * *Successful candidate should be able to:* · Demonstrate a strong interest in working within an academic environment committed to clinical care, research, and teaching** · Create a collaborative partnership with multi-disciplinary colleagues, reinforcing positive working relationships** · Demonstrate professionalism, effective communication, laboratory safety, and continuous practicum improvement · Candidates must have a PhD** · At least 1 year in one of the following fields:embryonic development, cardiac development and disease, neural tube development, molecular biology, and epigenetics** · Experience in autophagy, non-coding RNA, microRNA, cellular organelle stress, or senescence** Salary Range: $56,880 - $84,000 The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Departmental faculty compensation program or pay from participation in Departmental variable compensation programs. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting.
