Job Description
This position is in Precision Genomics’ St. Louis Production Genotyping lab. You will work collaboratively with a large production team of full-time employees and contractors to achieve daily and weekly genotyping targets under tight deadlines. Your primary responsibility will be operating manual and automated lab processes in a sequencing library creation lab. Additional tasks may include sample preparation, sequencing, qPCR, general lab stocking, and supply upkeep.
Responsibilities
+ Operate manual and automated lab equipment for sequencing library creation.
+ Assist in the care and maintenance of lab equipment.
+ Help with the receipt, inspection, ordering, and stocking of raw materials.
+ Process samples through sequencing library preparation.
+ Prepare and stock lab consumables.
+ Ensure the lab runs smoothly by performing various support tasks as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ High work ethic and sense of urgency.
+ Excellent communication skills.
+ Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is a plus.
+ Automation and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot independently.
+ Assertive and proactive personality, not afraid to speak up.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
