This mentored postdoctoral position will be overseen by Chris Melde, PhD. This position will engage with community partners, including police, corrections, courts, schools, and community-based interventionists on violence prevention initiatives, as well as engage in an ongoing federally funded project on the impact of a school-based intervention on life course outcomes in early adulthood. The successful candidate will engage in all aspects of these projects. This is a one-year appointment with the possibility of renewal up to an additional year, contingent on performance. Required Degree Doctorate Minimum Requirements + Graduation from an accredited college or university with a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field of study (criminal justice, psychology, sociology, epidemiology, public health, social work) earned by the start of the appointment. + Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant research in the areas of community violence or life course/developmental criminology, including published manuscripts (as co-author or first author); may be included in doctoral degree training time.
