Operate laboratory equipment and instruments. Experienced with standard chemistry and molecular biology lab practices and techniques **Additional Information:** **We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented personnel to join our dynamic neuroendocrine research laboratory. A successful applicant must be comfortable working with rodents, demonstrate a commitment to excellence in experimental techniques, and show an interest in the translation of biomedical research.** **Our lab is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms of developmental neuroendocrine programming due to parental malnutrition and its implications on metabolic disorders, with opportunities to contribute to impactful, translational research.** **Responsibilities:** + **Assist with research experiments involving rodent models, including animal handling, injections, and tissue collection.** + **Perform/willing to learn cell biology techniques: protein and RNA extraction, qRT-PCR, Western blotting, Immunofluorescence, cell/tissue culture, transfection, and sub-cloning** + **Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments and procedures.** + **Collaborate with team members to ensure timely progress on research projects.** + **Adhere to all institutional and federal guidelines for animal care and laboratory safety.** **Required Education:** Bachelor's Degree **Recommended Education:** **Required Work Experience:** Related Field - 1 year of experience **Recommended Work Experience:** **Required Certifications:** **Recommended Certifications:** **Description** 1. Assists with operation of analytical equipment. 2. Assists with quantitating various nutrients, chemicals, drugs and/or metabolites, ensuring quality and accurate results are provided. 3. Assists with extractions of metabolites and DNA extractions from a variety of biological substrates. 4. Assists with maintenance of laboratory equipment to keep it in proper working condition. 5. Observes and learns about the proper handling of radioactive and other hazardous chemicals. 6. Performs other duties as assigned.
