The Rutgers Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies is one of the nation’s leading tobacco focused research centers and its faculty have received over $50 million in extramural funding over the past two decades. The Institute’s efforts are focused on their mission of reducing and ultimately eliminating, tobacco-related morbidity and mortality.

Five Centers or Programs currently operate at the Institute including a Tobacco Center for Regulatory Science, the Center of Excellence for Rapid Surveillance of Tobacco, the Tobacco Dependence Program, a Tobacco Industry Marketing Program, and a Tobacco Control Law & Policy Resource Center.    Posting Summary Rutgers is seeking a Research Associate II for the Institute for Nicotine and Tobacco Studies, located in New Brunswick, NJ Under the direction of faculty members, the Research Associate II is responsible for the conduct of highly specialized and technical research in area of tobacco. Responsible for assisting in the management of tobacco research studies, including design, analysis, and reporting.

Duties include: Performs various research activities related to tobacco; may conduct independently or as assigned specialized research for a particular project. Participates in the development and selection of research methodology and instrumentation and coordination of qualitative and quantitative data collection, analysis, and interpretation to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the Center.  Under supervision, assists in the conducting of tobacco focused research and development regarding the analytical and instrumentation functions, participates in the evaluation of the existing procedures, suggesting revision where necessary and proposing new procedures where required.  Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week 37.50 Daily Work Shift Day Work Arrangement FLSA Exempt Grade 23S Position Salary Annual Minimum Salary 64244.00 Annual Mid Range Salary 76976.00 Annual Maximum Salary 91311.00 Standard Hours 37.50 Union Description HPAE 5094 Payroll Designation PeopleSoft Benefits Rutgers offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees.
