Job Description
Maintenance of a highly functioning in vivo and ex vivo labs, working with other members of the In Vivo Pharmacology group and other cross-functional scientists. Proficient in basic animal handling, including blood sample collection and necropsy with organ/tumor sample collection. Setup and execution of in vivo studies using xenograft mouse models of solid tumors including animal preparation/surgery, tumor implantation (s.c., i.p., i.v., or orthotopic), preparation and dosing of therapeutic T cells and other agents via various routes of administration, tracking of tumor growth (e.g., bioluminescence/fluorescence, and caliper measurements), collection of blood, tissue, tumor samples, and monitoring of animal health. Ex vivo study responsibilities include cell culture, collection, and processing of organs and tumor samples for immunological and pathological analysis. Collection, entry, analysis, and presentation of study data to project teams. Generation and maintenance of electronic lab notebook (ELN) reports, including basic statistical data analysis.
ResponsibilitiesMaintain a highly functioning in vivo and ex vivo labs.Collaborate with other members of the In Vivo Pharmacology group and other cross-functional scientists.Handle animals proficiently, including blood sample collection and necropsy with organ/tumor sample collection.Set up and execute in vivo studies using xenograft mouse models of solid tumors.Prepare and perform animal surgeries and tumor implantation (s.c., i.p., i.v., or orthotopic).Prepare and dose therapeutic T cells and other agents via various routes of administration.Track tumor growth using bioluminescence/fluorescence and caliper measurements.Collect blood, tissue, and tumor samples and monitor animal health.Perform ex vivo studies including cell culture and processing of organs and tumor samples for immunological and pathological analysis.Collect, enter, analyze, and present study data to project teams.Generate and maintain electronic lab notebook (ELN) reports, including basic statistical data analysis.Essential SkillsProficiency in in vivo studies using xenograft tumor models with immunocompromised and immune-competent mice.Experience with cell therapy and more complex experience is a plus.Proficient in sterile tissue culture techniques and working with human cells.Experience with flow cytometry assays and analysis.Proficiency in data analysis using software packages such as FlowJo, FCS Express, and Prism.Experience in data production.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency with mammalian cell culture techniques such as cell line passaging, cryopreservation and cell thawing, and cell counting.Proficiency in executing various xenograft tumor models using adoptive T cell transfer.Proficiency using and analyzing high-parameter flow cytometry.Work Environment
The work environment involves maintaining and operating in vivo and ex vivo labs, handling animals, performing surgeries, and conducting various assays. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $35.00/hr.
