Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Part Time Research Associate III for the Institute for Health (IFH) within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.
The primary purpose of the Part Time Research Associate III is to perform technical research activities; assists in the conduct of highly specialized and technical research.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
As directed, performs various research and clinical technical operations relative to ongoing investigatory activities of a laboratory; may assist in conducting specialized research for a particular phase of a project. Participates in the development of performance standards, selection of methodology and instrumentation and coordination of the analytical, biochemical, physiology and instrumentation functions with the clinical and research areas to ensure conformance with the goals and objectives of the department. Under supervision, assists in the conducting of a continuous program of research and development regarding the analytical and instrumentation functions of the laboratory. Participates in the evaluation of the existing procedures, suggesting revisions where necessary and proposing new procedures where required. As required, assists in the implementation of the programs and projects in special areas of interest to the department. Performs other related duties as assigned. Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers’ regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified. Ensures that the staff are trained and evaluated on their knowledge of and adherence to compliance policies and procedures specific to their jobs. Position Status Part Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement Consistent with the current application of Rutgers Policy 60.3.22 or the applicable provisions of relevant collective negotiations agreements, this position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement.
