The Department of Dermatology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Research Associate positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Responsibilities may include planning and executing experiments to study cell signaling and epigenetic mechanisms controlling development, regeneration, stem cell activity, and tumorigenesis of the epidermis and its appendages; generation and phenotypic analysis of genetic mouse models; use of genomics techniques including ChIP-seq, RNA-seq and ATAC-seq; presenting the results of experiments at laboratory meetings, departmental seminars, and national and international meetings. The successful applicant will have an opportunity to aide in the preparation of scientific papers; and supervising junior lab members including technicians and students.
