Job Description
This company specializes in additives for chemicals within the paints and coatings industry, primarily supplying metal organics. This role involves product testing, development, and improvement, focusing on providing solutions for customers in the paints and coatings industry.
ResponsibilitiesConduct product testing and evaluations for customers in the paints and coatings industry.Report findings to the Technical Service Chemist and/or Global Technical Manager.Develop and improve products.Evaluate and approve raw materials.Work independently on various tasks and present results.Essential SkillsDegree in Chemistry or a related Science.Minimum of 3 years' experience in a lab focused on polymers, coating additives, or resins.Experience in synthesis and characterization of chemical compounds.Understanding of evaluation requirements for products in the coatings, inks, UPR, and catalyst industries.Experience working in an ISO environment.Ability to run basic analytical equipment.Ability to set up and run equipment for catalyst performance evaluations.Meticulous attention to detail, conscientious, and creative.Additional Skills & QualificationsProficiency in analytical chemistry, wet chemistry, R&D, titration, FTIR, raw materials testing, laboratory quality control, gas chromatography, GCMS, development, formulation, and polymer chemistry.Work Environment
This role will be based in a laboratory setting. The lab is growing, providing plenty of opportunities for professional development and advancement. The environment will require meticulous attention to detail and adherence to safety and ISO standards.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00/hr.
