Job Description:

Provide programmatic sponsored grant administrative support to the program director and faculty, including scheduling meetings, preparing materials, and managing correspondence. Maintain accurate records of grant study program activities, participant information, and outcomes. Handle any additional administrative tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the program by providing general clerical support, including scheduling meetings and support for special projects. Supports workgroups, scheduling meetings, drafting agendas, and creating minutes; supports other committees as assigned. Assists students in connecting with resources as needed.
Specific Assignments include:
• Scheduling and coordinating logistics for grant study
• Coordinate awards process for grant study
• Office Responsibilities: Such as website updating, coordinate hiring and onboarding process, scheduling and organizing staff retreats and celebrations, providing support for student affairs committee and relevant committees/workgroups
• Other Duties as assigned

Oversees financial management for grant study, including processing trainee expenses, health insurance, and travel for both trainees and mentors. Manages material resources for the training program to ensure the successful achievement of program goals and objectives.

Recruitment: Develops, coordinates, and maintains communications with trainees and other services associated with the T90/R90 research goals. Develops and implements outreach activities throughout the year.  Maintains an interested student database.

Financial: provides timely financial reporting expenditures by trainee slots, mentor, and programmatic research reports to PIs and the program director.

Assist with coordination of specific research studies as needs, collects evaluation data regarding the program's effectiveness. Tracks and coordinates reports relevant to program effectiveness/demographics. Assists Pl with data reports for funding agency. Creates surveys for ways to improve program for future. Evaluates training effectiveness and achievement of learning outcomes and recommends changes or adjustments as needed.

Assist trainee in preparing original IRB protocols, applications and revisions to approved studies

Expected Salary:

$50,000 - $60,000/yr, commensurate with education/experience 

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in appropriate area of specialization

- Clinical research coordinator certification

- Grants management experience

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Demonstrated ability to coordinate and organize, and balance attention to detail with holistic “big picture” thinking

- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

- Demonstrated strong writing skills

- Experience working with faculty, staff, and students in higher education

- Demonstrated creative/innovative approach to program development and problem solving

- Experience in developing constructive working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds, including those associated with race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, socioeconomic status, age, gender, disability, sexual orientation, and/or other aspects of human diversity
