Our team is looking to add a Research Coordinator to their team. You will be joining a multi-disciplinary, talented team that works on studies that impact future patient diagnoses and treatments. As a Research Coordinator, you will coordinate the compliant implementation and conduct of human subject research projects, typically of high workload and high complexity.  


A caregiver in this position works days, from 8:00am—4:30pm.  


A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

Coordinate the implementation and conduct of research projects ensuring adherence to research protocol requirements which may include maintenance of regulatory documents and binders, data management, IRB submissions and communication of such to the research team. 

Communicate with sponsors, monitors, research personnel to ensure all aspects of study compliance.   

Collaborate with study team to schedule pre-site selection visits, site initiation visits, webinars, monitoring, and close-out visits.  

Collaborate with primary investigator, sponsor, and research staff to plan, conduct, and evaluate project protocols, including research subject recruitment.  

Monitor and report project status.  

Complete regulatory documents, data capture and monitoring plans. 

Complete protocol related activities.  

Monitors research data to maintain quality. 

Develop and maintain knowledge of research protocols to coordinate the comprehensive and compliant execution of assigned protocols.  

Assist with preparation for audits and response to audits. 

Assis in the development and maintenance of research tools, such as spreadsheets, questionnaires, and/or brochures. 

Maintain personnel certification records (License, CV, CITI). 

Maintain professional relationships, including frequent and open effective communication with internal and external customers. 

Document the education and training of research personnel as needed. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

Demonstrated basic computer proficiency. Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be self-directed with demonstrated ability to work independently yet establish cooperative relationships with colleagues

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care.

Ohio Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) Board licensure.

Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and/or Neonatal Pediatric Specialist (NPS) certification when appropriate for site.

Complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic. 

 Within 90 days of hire, must successfully complete certification in Human Subjects Research as required by the Responsible Conduct of Research guidelines adopted by Cleveland Clinic.

Five years clinical research or related clinical experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare or science field may offset up to two years of clinical research or related experience requirement.
 


Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

Bachelor's Degree in health care or science related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

A high degree of dexterity to produce materials on a computer; Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

Extensive sitting and frequent walking, occasional lifting or carrying up to 25 pounds.

May have some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.

May require working irregular hours.
