Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Data Associate.

The Research Data Associate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team within the Anxiety, Stress, and Prolonged Grief Program (ASPGP) at the Department of Psychiatry, NYU Langone Health. The Research Data Associate will provide support for the coordination of studies focusing on the phenomenology, biology, and treatment of anxiety, PTSD, and grief-related disorders under direct PI supervision.The overarching role for the Research Data Associate is to provide assistance in recruitment of research participants, data entry and analyses, and other support duties in compliance with Good Clinical Practice, HIPAA, and required obligations to participants, the PI, research team, and the sponsor.

Job Responsibilities:

 

Provides support for federally-sponsored and privately-funded research on the etiology and treatment of anxiety disorders, trauma and prolonged grief disorder, including oversight of research data, organization of regulatory binders and study folders, and management of study databasesInterfaces with the Principal Investigator and Institutional Review Board.  Prepares and modifies ethics committee proposals for PI review and approval and communicates with the IRB regarding ongoing studiesAssists with the design and posting of social media ads to recruit specific populations for research studiesPerforms data entry, cleaning, and analysisConducts literature reviews for grant submissions and ongoing research work at the program under the direction of the Principal InvestigatorAssists in dissemination efforts on findings of research studies, including preparation of posters, presentations, and manuscriptsConducts phone interviews to assess fit with study inclusion/exclusion criteria and match participants to studies for initial screening visitObserve and assist with treatment sessions and groups by bringing patients to physician for study intervention visits as necessary for ongoing studiesProvides referrals for patients who do not qualify for current research studiesActs as the primary research contact for patients enrolled in studiesLog patient visits, update and maintain patient charts in EPIC, and coordinates visit schedulesContribute to preparation of reporting on study progress to fundersAdministers laboratory tests, including vital signs, electrocardiogram, urine toxicology, and phlebotomy with proper training and approvalsCollects and processes patient blood and saliva samplesMay receive training to assist in conducting fear conditioning and extinction experiments using psychophysiological and functional MRI tools to collect dataMaintains study databases and may conduct backup of neuroimaging data

Minimum Qualifications:


To qualify you must have an Associate's degree plus one year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer literate with good interpersonal, writing and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree, preferably in science, public health, health education or a related field. Prior experience in a health care settings and/or research level interviews
Prior patient education experience

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $51,243.96 - $51,243.96 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
