Overview

The research fellow will lead projects to 1) investigate the effect of aging on mechanotransductive mechanisms that dictate the behavior of skeletal muscle resident cells, including muscle stem cells and fibroadipogenic progenitors, and 2) develop mechanogenetic circuits to enhance aged skeletal muscle function and regeneration. We are seeking a postdoc with a strong background in mechanobiology, synthetic biology, and bioengineering. Animal skills with mouse models would be beneficial but not required.

The postdoctoral fellow will be under the direction of Dr. Kai Wang and Dr. Fabrisia Ambrosio at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Interested candidates can contact Dr. Wang (kwang36@mgh.harvard.edu) for more details.
