**Responsibilities**
A position in cancer immunotherapy is open for a motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to lead a project funded by the Department of Defense in the Immunometabolism and Cancer Immunotherapy Lab which is located in the Integrated Education and Research Building (IERB) at Mayo Clinic's Phoenix campus.
Our research is focused on developing new immunotherapy treatments to improve outcomes for people with advanced-stage ovarian cancer. We believe in fostering a highly collaborative environment, which allows candidates to thrive in an interdisciplinary setting.

The appointee will be responsible for carrying out primary tissue processing, functional cellular-based assays, in vivo tumor model studies, immunophenotyping, and participating in data analysis and result dissemination. The PI will support the appointee's travel to present results at regional and international conferences. The appointee is expected to assist the PI in writing grants, progress reports, and manuscripts. They will also help to manage day-to-day lab operations, including overseeing technicians and mentoring undergraduate and graduate trainees.
A Research Fellow at Mayo Clinic is a temporary position intended to provide training and education in research. Individuals will train in the research program of a Mayo Clinic principal investigator. Qualified individuals will demonstrate the potential for research as evidenced by their training and peer-reviewed publications and should become competitive for national research grants. Proof of English proficiency is required for J-1 Short-Term Scholars, Research Scholars, Professors, Specialists, and Student Interns sponsored by Mayo Clinic.
**Qualifications**
Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Research Fellow is appropriate for individuals who have completed no more than one prior postdoctoral fellowship, at Mayo Clinic or elsewhere.
Prior experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, and animal studies is preferred.
