About the role
Our Research & Innovation team, composed by 5 people, is integrated into the Solvay global innovation network and focuses on sustainable and cutting-edge solutions in the textile and materials industry. In collaboration with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, the team drives the development of differentiated products and innovative processes. As a Research & Innovation Consultant/Specialist, you will work on leading projects, developing new technologies, and supporting strategic innovation initiatives. You will get the opportunity to contribute to sustainable advancements in textile fiber technologies and have a positive impact on environmental stewardship and industrial safety standards. You will be accountable for: Ensure rigorous application of the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental Policy and related management system requirements. Propose and oversee the development or acquisition of new technologies to enhance domain-specific knowledge. Provide technical support to business units in defining innovation strategies and executing strategic planning activities. Lead and motivate project teams, conduct experiments, analyze results, and ensure compliance with Solvay’s project management procedures. Report progress, successes, and challenges to stakeholders, manage knowledge and intellectual property, and mentor researchers and interns in laboratory operations. vities in line with operational procedures, suggesting improvements, and supporting quality system audits. We offer a permanent contract with a hybrid working mode and opportunities for occasional travel, depending on project needs.About you
Relevant education degree or equivalent in: Engineering (preferably Materials, Chemical, or Textile Engineering). Relevant work experience in materials transformation, textiles, or chemical process industries. Proven expertise in project leadership and technical innovation. Competencies: Advanced knowledge in extrusion, spinning, drawing, and texturization of textile fibers. Proficiency in advanced English (oral and written). Technical problem-solving and support for cross-functional teams. Behaviors: Creativity and open-mindedness. Strong focus, organizational skills, and initiative. Collaboration, influence, resilience, and customer orientation
About the pay and benefits
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While the primary country (Brazil) base pay reasonably expected for this role is R$ 248.000 to R$ 310.000,00, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
