Including general management, ordering of lab supplies, maintenance of inventory, lab space and protocols, operation and calibration of instrumentation and other research equipment, and participate in the establishment of new techniques and/or regulations. + Responsible for ensuring lab documentation is up to date for safety inspections. + Design and perform laboratory experiments related for projects to drug discovery and design of novel heart failure therapeutics, including: protein extraction, purification and quantification from skeletal and cardiac muscle; production, management, and organization of protein preparations; implementing and using spectrophotometric microplate enzymatic assays, and cell-based assays. + Serve as point of contact to train, assist and support new lab members on techniques and research projects + Conduct statistical analysis of data, interpret and discuss research with the PI, lab members and/or in lab meetings. Formulate research methods and suggest options for improving the quality of work and identify potential problems and recommend solutions + Assist the PI in development of research goals, writing grants, and manuscripts for publication. **Required Qualifications*** + Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years of experience. + This individual must be self-motivated and perform well under pressure as well as without set deadlines. + This individual must be meticulously organized and detail-oriented + Experience working with protein extraction, protein activity assays, and molecular biology. **Desired Qualifications*** + Master's degree preferred **Modes of Work** Positions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department.
