**Job Summary**
The Frankel Cardiovascular Center Cell Regeneration Core is a dynamic laboratory that aids the University of Michigan community to advance their research using stem cell-derived models. We are a team of stem cell scientists, and we tailor our expertise to perform cutting edge experiments and develop new disease models on demand for PIs and trainees from medicine, bioengineering, pharmacology, public health and more. We are located at the beautiful and spacious North Campus Research Complex in the Northeast side of Ann Arbor. **Responsibilities***
Perform stem cell culture, maintenance and stem cell directed differentiation. Perform more complex experimental procedures such as optical mapping, Q-PCR, western blots, immunofluorescence, microscopy and image analysis. Execute designated experiments and perform basic translation and interpretation data. Assist in some report writing and responsible for completing lab documentation for safety inspections. Greater autonomy in conducting and assisting in the design of phases of research projects.
**Required Qualifications***
+ Bachelors degree
+ 2-3 years of experience
**Desired Qualifications***
+ Masters in related area
**Work Schedule**
Pluripotent stem cells maintenance and differentiation require constant attention for successful completion of projects and due to the nature of this cells, weekend work rotation is expected.

**Background Screening**
Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.
