Job Title: Clinical Research Coordinator II RN Job Description The Clinical Research Coordinator II RN (CRC-II RN) plays a crucial role in the research team by planning, coordinating, evaluating, and performing the nursing care of participants while collecting data for assigned research projects. Working under limited supervision, the CRC-II RN adheres to study-specific protocol guidelines, communicates with Principal Investigators (PI), Sub-Investigators (Sub-I), Clinical Research Lead, and clinical research support staff. The role ensures the advocacy of the patient and the integrity of clinical trials conducted according to FDA regulations and ICH/GCP guidelines. Responsibilities + Deliver safe care while respecting the dignity and respect of all participants. + Maintain proficiency in clinical competencies including physical assessment, phlebotomy, and IV insertion. + Practice the principles of Universal Precautions and comply with HIPAA regulations. + Maintain a clean and prepared clinical space, performing set-up and turnover procedures as per SOPs. + Participate in internal and external training programs to maintain licensure. + Utilize effective interpersonal communication skills with healthcare team members, patients, investigators, sponsors, and administration. + Review informed consent documents with study candidates and ensure patient advocacy and informed consent as an ongoing process. + Manage multiple clinical trial protocols, ensuring accurate, legible, and timely documentation. + Securely manage records, study medication, and test articles. + Promote PI oversight by advising relevant parties of any deviations or issues related to the trial's integrity and the safety of research subjects. + Coordinate the work of support staff, laboratory technicians, and assistants to ensure efficient and high-quality results. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Associate degree in Nursing + Current, active State of Florida license as a Registered Nurse + BLS certification + Ability to perform clinical tasks including assisting physicians and CRN with minor procedures + Ability to acclimate and integrate into various clinical settings as needed per protocol + Demonstrated skills in clinical competencies including physical assessment, phlebotomy, and IV insertion Work Environment The role operates in a hospital setting, requiring adherence to hospital and departmental policies, SOPs, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. The CRC-II RN will interact with various clinical settings and must maintain a professional and clean clinical space. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $74880.00 - $98000.00/yr.
