Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Project Assistant for the Psychology department within the School of Arts & Sciences. This position is for a Research Project Assistant working in a new neuroscience lab run Dr. Philip Parker. This position will play a critical role in getting the lab started and ensuring we are able to begin and maintain our research activities.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Performs experiments measuring and manipulating neural activity during behavior or in ex vivo preparations in mice. Supports daily activities and personnel in the lab, including managing a mouse colony, files, databases, and physical and electronic materials in an accurate and organized fashion. Creates study protocols for new studies. Develops experimental stimuli and materials. Manages data. Creates data analysis pipelines. Proofreads research publications and grants.
