Job Description:
Organize and Manage Proposal Writing Teams and Proposal Writing Efforts
+ Advise Principal Investigator(s) (PI’s) on the most effective way to achieve an effective, quality proposal.
+ Review and understand proposal guidelines and requirements.
+ Coordinate and organize proposal team meetings.
+ Create proposal writing timelines and division of responsibilities across investigators and team members.
+ Compile, write, or edit components (particularly institutional data and standard descriptions) of a proposal submission as appropriate.
+ Coordinate a timely submission process, ensuring all necessary approvals and documents.
Organizing Proposal Writing Tools and Templates
+ Create, organize and curate proposal writing resources and templates for use by HWCOE faculty and staff.
+ Identify and document institutional, state, and national resources available to HWCOE faculty and staff to strengthen proposals submissions.
+ Maintain a list and network of effective grant writers, graphic designers, and proposal coordinators that may be available for HWCOE faculty and staff to engage with.
Opportunity and Team Identification and Analysis
+ Track key, signature programs (e.g., NSF Engineering Research Center, Materials Research Science and Engineering Centers, etc.) and ensure HWCOE has engaged teams pursuing such programs.
+ Stay abreast of new funding and collaboration opportunities.
Other duties as necessary.
Expected Salary:
$58,000-$68,000; commensurate with qualifications and experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and three years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE
College degree and multiple years of experience as a proposal manager, grant writer or research strategist.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent organizational skills and an ability to prioritize and complete simultaneous projects with minimal supervision.
+ Accuracy, attention to detail and a customer service-oriented approach and mindset.
