Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CRISPR nuclease screening, NGS library preparation, and sequencing using Illumina, PacBio, and/or Oxford Nanopore technologies. This role involves leading sequencing efforts, supporting process improvements, and contributing to technical reports and regulatory filings. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to achieve common goals and be willing to learn hands-on laboratory operations.
ResponsibilitiesProficiency with CRISPR nuclease screening.Experience with NGS library preparation and INDEL calling using Illumina sequencing platforms.Lead TLA and long-read sequencing efforts using PacBio and/or Oxford Nanopore technologies.Support process improvements for increased speed and efficiency to generate highly productive, high quality, robust cell lines that meet all regulatory requirements with high quality documentation.Learn hands-on laboratory operations such as molecular biology, shake flask, bench scale bioreactor, and novel culture platforms.Contribute to written technical reports, regulatory filing support, present in group meetings, and work cross-functionally to achieve common goals.Essential SkillsProficiency with CRISPR nuclease systems.Experience with NGS library preparation.Experience with Illumina-based sequencing analysis.Experience with long-read sequencing analysis.Additional Skills & QualificationsB.S/M.S. and 10 years, Ph.D. and 0-2 years of experience in a relevant scientific discipline (biology, bioengineering, chemical engineering, biochemical engineering).Excellent communication, technical report writing, and presentation skills.Aptitude for creative problem solving.Strong organizational and planning skills.Experience in statistics and data analysis (e.g., JMP, Spotfire).Experience designing, constructing, and evaluating vectors to express recombinant proteins of various formats.Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and adhere to timelines.Ability to think critically and demonstrated troubleshooting skills.Work Environment

The role requires a collaborative approach, adherence to timelines, and a commitment to high-quality documentation and regulatory standards. The candidate will be part of a dynamic team and will participate in group meetings and cross-functional projects.
