Research Scientist

The Research Scientist is expected to carry out advanced research in primary care and cancer epidemiology/prevention in Dr. Li’s research team in the Department of Family Medicine, and manage the research projects, epidemiologic and clinical data, and biospecimen.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualified candidates must have a PhD degree in bioinformatics, or molecular/genomic epidemiology, and have significant and productive research experience in the area of bioinformatics, statistical genetics, biostatistics, or GI cancer epidemiology. Candidates must present evidence of the following:

A strong record of first authored, peer-reviewed publication in statistical genetics, biostatistics, GI cancer epidemiology, and/or bioinformaticsSignificant expertise and experience in population and clinical research, database design and management, and biospecimen managementStrong skills in statistical analysis and programming using R, C, SAS, Matlab, etc.
