The position
As a Research Scientist you’ll be diving headfirst into exciting R&D initiatives, taking projects from concept to completion. Your mission will focus on upscaling laboratory processes to production scale, including the setup of pilot-scale facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects, learn from seasoned experts, and contribute to the development of next-generation materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, conduct, and analyze experiments to develop new products and improve existing ones. Lead efforts to scale up laboratory processes to production scale, addressing any challenges that arise during the transition. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to ensure project success. Prepare technical reports, and presentations, to showcase your research findings. Characterize properties using advanced techniques like spectroscopy, chromatography, microscopy, light scattering and thermal analysis.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this position has master’s degree in chemistry, materials science, or a related field. Additionally, you will possess the following skills and experiences:
Effective collaborator with excellent communication and project management skills, capable of working seamlessly with cross-functional teams such as R&D, production, and quality assurance Proven experience in a laboratory setting with practical, hands-on assignments is essential. A background in experimental organic chemistry is preferred but not required. Demonstrated experience in scaling up processes from laboratory to production scale. Experience in setting up and optimizing pilot-scale facilities. Commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant laboratory environment.On a personal level, you have a genuine enthusiasm for scientific research and development, you are a lively and dynamic team player, always full of energy and enthusiasm. About the department
As scientist in R&D Research you will be part of the innovation of new products. The department consist of 16 highly motivated and skilled scientists and laboratory technicians, divided into two teams. Our research team is dedicated to pioneering and advancing products specifically designed for affinity resin applications. We work closely with the R&D Manufacturing Development teams and the New Product Marketing team as well as several close collaborators at Novo Nordisk.
