The Alonge Lab is hiring for a Research Scientist/Engineer 1 (E S UAW RSE) in the field of Biomedical Sciences. This position will be responsible for research projects in the areas of animal handling, neuroscience, and mass spectrometry. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** Laboratory Management (40%) + Assisting others with a range of projects in the laboratory. + Administrative tasks within the lab including chemical inventory, EH&S and IACUC inspections, ordering materials, etc. + Oversite of students.Bench Work Duties (30%) + Immunohistochemistry, tissue transfers, and mass spectrometry sample preparation, etc.Animal Care (30%) + Responsible for proper rodent handling and husbandry associated with the project. + Perform IP injections, animal measurements, and brain collections from pup and adult mice. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS** + Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one year of relevant experience, + Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. **DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS** + Experience in rodent handling, and measurements, brain extractions, and lab administration. + Experience in mass spectrometry. **Application Process:** The application process may include completion of a variety of online assessments to obtain additional information that will be used in the evaluation process.
