The company is looking for a Viral Research Scientist to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge treatments and make a difference! **Location:** Athens, GA **Shift:** 1 st Shift **Pay:** $26 - $28.50 **Responsibilities:** + Perform basic cell culture techniques for isolation of primary cells and passage of cell lines. + Assist with viral propagation and analytical proof of concept (POC) experiments. + Execute in vitro analytical assays (e.g., viral titration, PCR, ELISA, virus neutralization) with minimal supervision. + Ensure experiments and assays yield valid results with minimal need for repetition. + Support viral research team members through data acquisition, reporting, and communication. + Accurately record all research data in laboratory notebooks. + Generate documentation (e.g., method protocols, research reports, SOPs) resulting from viral process or analytical POC experiments. + Maintain inventory of key laboratory supplies. + Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and maintain safety standards in all laboratory work. + Follow Research & Development policies and procedures to maintain high-quality standards. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., biology, microbiology, virology). + 0-3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory or research environment. + Experience in cell culture (primary avian cells and continuous cell lines) is preferred. + Experience conducting in vitro assays (e.g., viral titration, PCR, ELISA, virus neutralization) is a plus. + Experience working with BSL2 organisms is preferred.
