Research Senior Instructor - 36053 Research Faculty
The Department of Medicine, division of Cardiology at the University of Colorado has an opening for a full-time senior Research Instructor position. The Successful candidates will join a research group performing translational and molecular research focused on pediatrics and Adult with heart disease. Applications are encouraged from individuals with a research focus broadly relevant to Cardiovascular and heart failure, specifically related to tissue and circulating miRNA profiling, identifying miRNA target genes and investigating the role of miRNAs in the heart. An emphasis on using basic research to solve problems in cardiovascular diseases is ideal. The faculty member is expected to secure funds for the research studies. Key Responsibilities:
+ Conduct research activities specifically focused on miRNA profiling and developing miRNA based therapy in heart failure
+ Develop in vitro and in vivo models to study the role of miRNA in the heart
+ Collaborate with other researchers within and outside the institution to foster research partnerships and advance knowledge in the field.
+ Secure funding by writing grant proposals and collaborating with other researchers to secure funding.
+ Oversee the implementation of research protocols, ensuring ethical compliance
+ Prepare and publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present research at conferences.
+ Attend and present at meetings and training to enhance professional skills and participate in faculty development activities.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $65,000 to $75,000 The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
