The first involves the testing and optimization of therapeutic epigenetic drugs in ovarian and breast cancer. The second project is focused on understanding how alcohol consumption increases the risk of developing breast cancer. Our research includes mouse models of cancer, and work with primary tissues from cancer patients. We are seeking a **_Research Specialist_** who will facilitate in these projects and will collaborate with team members. **Specific Duties & Responsibilities** + Develops experimental design and has primary responsibility for planning, implementation, evaluation and interpretation results. + The design process may be in collaboration with the PI or completed independently. + Compiles, analyzes, and interprets research data using various computer software applications. + Conducts library research and participates in editing and preparing manuscripts, scientific illustrations and computer graphics for publication. + Oversees and assures laboratory compliance with regulatory requirements and JHU standards, policies and procedures. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. + One year laboratory experience performing relevant techniques. + Master's degree, with related graduate research, may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
