Research Specialist
We are seeking a **_Research Specialist_** who will utilize solid foundation in basic mathematical modeling and laboratory techniques and experience with techniques associated with Radiological Physics. This position will participate in planning experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing detailed knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices. This candidate should be capable of independent judgment in the selection, development, performance and evaluation of research methods. **Specific Duties & Responsibilities** + Utilizes solid foundation in basic laboratory techniques and experience with techniques associated with a specific area such as mathematical modeling and/or cell biology. + Capable of exercising independent judgment while participating in the planning of experiments and evaluating and interpreting results; participate in the creation of manuscripts + Participates in planning experiments and evaluating/interpreting test results utilizing detailed knowledge of research laboratory procedures and practices. + Selects, develops, performs and evaluates research methods; operates appropriate equipment. + Uses various software applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data and /or test reports. + Other duties as assigned. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry or related field. + One year laboratory experience performing relevant techniques. + Master's degree, with related graduate research, may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
