We are seeking individuals with or who are enrolled in a master’s degree, PhD, or pre-doctoral program in speech-language pathology, psychology, or related fields and who have experience administering the Preschool Language Scales Fifth Edition (PLS-5) to English or Spanish-speaking children.
Essential Job Functions:Administration of in-person language evaluation of English-speaking or Spanish-speaking children enrolled in an NIH-funded study of cochlear implant outcomes.
Scoring of evaluations.
Individuals should have excellent communication skills, enabling clear and efficient communication with the research team regarding appointment scheduling and score submission.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Master’s or PhD candidates in Speech-Language Pathology, Psychology, or related fields. Licensure is not required.
Competence in the administration of the Preschool Language Scales to children who speak English or Spanish.
Fluency in English or bilingual in English & Spanish.
Basic computer skills.
Training in human subject protection and good clinical practice for clinical trials is preferred but not required.
Willingness to evaluate children at one or more of Lurie Children’s outpatient sites in Westchester, Northbrook, Arlington Heights, or Chicago.
