Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III for the department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Research Teaching Specialist III for Orthopedic Research and Education Laboratory. Assists graduate students and Orthopedic Residents involved in research, oversees lab functions, maintains equipment and supply inventory and provides logistical support for Arthroscopy Training Sessions. 

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Works with Dept Chair and the Anatomical Association, to maintain an inventory of appropriate fresh limbs in the freezer on the 6th floor of the MEB. Prepares specimens for each Scheduled Arthroscopy Lab.   Maintains Arthroscopic Equipment and procures supplies for Training Labs.  Assists residents and graduate students with research projects including procuring and storing specimens and/or submitting and managing IACUC and/or IRB protocols as needed. In case of approved animal protocols, assists residents and PIs with animal procurement, anesthesia, surgical procedures, and post-op care as well as euthanasia and tissue harvest as needed.
