Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III for NJMS- Emergency Medicine. The Research Teaching Specialist III, Conducts specialized research in conjunction with faculty in the field of Emergency Medicine, using judgment to adapt methods and techniques. May be responsible for the management of a small-sized research. Assists the Principal Investigator with budgetary, training, and administrative responsibilities. This role is responsible for the conduct of high quality research in conjunction with faculty in the field of Emergency Medicine.

Among the key duties of this position are the following: Participates in the development and refining research protocols using appropriate methodology in conjunction with faculty, residents and students. Participate in developing and coordinates research studies of mutual interest and with other departments of NJMS and University Hospital. Assists in the preparation of grant applications identifies funding opportunities, helps faculty through grant applications and develops a robust grant portfolio for the department. Participates the implementation and management of all phases of study/protocol, continually assessing progress and timely completion of the study. Established and maintains records pertaining to research conducted. Participates in the preparation of presentations (poster preparation/slides) of completed research at various forums.
