Through this community of healers, scientists, and scholars, Rutgers is equipped as never before to transform lives. Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist V for the department of Psychiatry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, implements multiple research studies relating to the mental health and substance use of New Jersey residents. These studies primarily focus on the treatment needs of individuals with substance use disorders and are conducted in substance abuse treatment settings. The position involves assisting study coordinators, implementing study protocols, recruiting and interviewing study participants, analyzing study data, and preparing reports.
Among the key duties of this position are the following: Perform various research procedures relative to the ongoing research protocols. Recruit and enroll paiticipants in research studies, which will involve multiple substance use treatment programs throughout the state of NJ. Maintains confidential research records and ensures that records are always secured. Accurately and comprehensively document all contact with participants. Track and schedule research participant appointments. Conduct participant interviews and other data collection. Assist with database management; literature searches; communication with the IRB office. Attend project-specific training and research project meetings. Provide on-site office coverage as needed. Position Status Full Time Hours Per Week Daily Work Shift Work Arrangement This position requires a fully on-site work arrangement.
