Job Summary
Responsibilities
The principal contribution of the Research Technician is providing technical and administrative support for these research.
Under general supervision, performs moderately complex lab and/or research-related duties and tasks.
Collects and maintains data and/or specimens.
Assists in maintaining mouse colony including genotyping and general husbandry.
Analyzes data.
Assists with ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Responsibilities may also include the following non-laboratory duties: assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assisting with developing data collection tools; assisting with building databases; and providing general administrative support.
Responsibilities may include the following laboratory duties: setting up and performing experiments; interacting with students and other laboratory staff under the direction of the principal investigator.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Performs other related work as needed.

Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to the research being conducted.

Previous research experience.

Knowledge of research techniques or methods relevant to the lab (e.g. Microscope imaging, cell culture, image and data analyses, trouble-shooting hardware/software problems).
