40We are looking to add a Research Technician to our Translational Research team. What You Will Do: The oncology research lab utilizes cellular and molecular biology tools to investigate chemoresistance in cancer. Our lab focuses on using pre-clinical models to identify better therapies for ovarian cancer and glioblastoma. The research technician will be required to perform experiments, lab maintenance, ordering, and other support tasks.Primary Responsibilities:
Perform assigned research experiments
Responsible for laboratory maintenance duties
Organize and tabulate experimental data in laboratory notebooks and enters the information in the computer.
Complete independent research projects leading to publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Maintain and care for laboratory animals.
Work with new employees and volunteers to orient, train and assess skills.
Participate in 10 hours of project related educational activities per annum in a self-directed manner. This may include reading journal articles, viewing on-line webinars or participating in other self-directed continuing education activities.
What's Available:
Full Time, 40 hours a week
8 hour shifts, 7:00am-5:00pm
Starting pay of $20.79/hr and up, based on your years of experience
What You Will Need:
Bachelor's degree in Biology
Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred
