The Lund lab in the Immunology and Vaccine Development (IVD) Program of the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Division (VIDD) is recruiting a Research Technician I, with a focus on bench research duties under the supervision of senior lab staff and the Principal Investigator.
This positon may require occasional evening and weekend work.

Responsibilities Process and analyze human blood and tissue samplesHandle animalsPerform in-vivo animal infection and vaccination studiesPerform flow cytometryPerform PCR-based analysis of cell populationsConduct sterile cell culture work with cell lines and primary cellsManage the mouse colony and perform genotypingGrow and maintain viral stocksPerform immunofluorescence staining and other microscopy and imaging techniquesBe responsible for data analysis and communicationBe in charge of general lab upkeep and maintenance tasksPerform experiments involving viruses and tissues from infected individuals at biosafety level 2 (BSL2)Other duties as assigned QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in related scientific field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Demonstrated scientific knowledge in the area of study.Demonstrated basic laboratory skills.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

The hourly pay range for this position is from $22.87 to $32.56 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
