In this role you will:
Work within Gartner’s Research & Advisory group to plan and write must-have research.Write with the reader in mind; we’re after substantive simplicity.Review and revise drafts for quality and client value, especially in response to feedback.Manage and progress work through Gartner's content management system.Ensure draft research follows Gartner’s editorial style, standards and format.Provide input for companywide writing and editing policies, standards and processes.Share and solve cross-departmental challenges and apply best practices related to writing and publishing Gartner.Verify facts, dates and statistics using standard reference sources.Work with other teams and departments, including subject matter experts, graphic designers and content strategy stakeholders, to improve the overall workflow process, procedures and systems.Coach subject matter experts on writing best practices, publishing process requirements and Gartner style.Engage in continuous training opportunities to improve writing skills and business acumen.In this role you need to have:
Three or more years' writing experience, preferably with fact-based, business content in a busy environment with strict deadlines.Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Liberal Arts, Technical Writing, or related field.Excellent writing and communication skills.Ability to learn and understand new concepts quickly.Ability to collaborate on draft content with subject matter experts and build relationships with key (often senior) stakeholders.Ability to distill meaning from graphics and numerical data.Ability to manage simultaneous projects and juggle a diverse workload while meeting deadlines.Knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style.

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 62,000 USD - 87,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
