Luxury Room Reservations Agent 

SUMMARY 

The Reservation Sales Agent's primary responsibility is to capture as many reservations for the resort as possible. The individual would be responsible for educating and speaking with guests about their needs and desires for their visit. The ideal candidate must be well-spoken, self-motivated, sales-minded, customer-focused and detail-oriented with a high degree of computer literacy, with a willingness to learn new processes, and the ability to merge into a dynamic work environment. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Job duties include; although are not limited to: 

Assist guests by selling future room and home reservations Act as a story teller and educator to describe the resort to guests Work in a high paced environment Ability to multi-task between phone, computer and conversation with guest with high attention to detail Answer telephone calls and emails in a prescribed and professional manner Assist customers with questions regarding their existing reservations Deliver the highest standard of service to all customers Efficiently manage daily correspondences and operational tasks to exceed customer expectations  Promptly follow up with guest inquiry leads for second chance bookings Display effective computer literacy and be familiar with MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel).  NAVIS/REVINATE Certification, Applications & Software knowledge a plus. Possess a positive and upbeat attitude at all times Professional customer service nature with a desire to exceed Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Desire to be part of high growth, fast paced business      

QUALIFICATIONS  

High school Diploma or equivalent required Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a reservation or hospitality industry   Previous experience working in an upscale hotel preferred Excellent telephone etiquette and verbal and written communication skills required Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Outlook required NAVIS Certification is a plus 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS 

Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 8 hours a day. Walking and standing are occasionally required. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. This position requires manual dexterity, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
