Role Overview
Technical Leader: As a Reservoir Engineer/Advisor, you will provide guidance and support to the Reservoir Leadership Team in maintaining high technical standards and developing plans and programs to meet reservoir engineering requirements. Simulation Expert: Utilize your expertise in reservoir simulation to perform detailed studies and evaluations of various depletion schemes and technical issues. Data Management Pro: Conduct necessary studies and assessments, including Pressure, Volume, Temperature (PVT), inflow/outflow, relative permeability, and Special Core Analysis Laboratory (SCAL) evaluations. Collaborator Extraordinaire: Work closely with drilling, facilities, and other teams to provide necessary input and support for projects. Mentor and Guide: Mentor less experienced reservoir engineers in performing simulation studies and other tasks. Effective Communicator: Document results in a comprehensive and understandable format, both written and graphic forms, and provide timely updates to management and partners. Risk Management Specialist: Develop project-specific strategies to address risks and challenges, support risk assessments and studies, and share safety-related lessons learned. Team Facilitator: May facilitate Reservoir Team meetings and be assigned other services or studies by the Reservoir Leadership Team. Ethical Leader: Maintain a high degree of ethical conduct in all aspects of work. Adaptable and Innovative: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and develop technical presentations. Compliance Supporter: Provide regulatory compliance support as required.Skills & Qualifications
Reservoir Engineering Expertise: Exceptional knowledge of reservoir engineering fundamentals and technical skills. Simulation Savvy: Experience in building, running, and evaluating dynamic models for reservoir simulation studies. Analytical Mindset: Capable of identifying issues and solutions and conducting independent reservoir evaluations. Leadership Skills: Willingness to direct and guide the work of less experienced engineers. Effective Communicator: Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence multiple levels. Problem-Solving Pro: Proficient in complex problem-solving and troubleshooting. Collaborative Team Player: Ability to function in an integrated project team environment and develop successful working relationships. Innovative Thinker: Desire to stay updated on emerging technologies and their practical application in solving business challenges. ITIL Knowledge: Understanding of ITIL best practice concepts for effective issue prioritization and remediation.Education & Experience
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field preferred. Certifications: Relevant certifications in reservoir engineering or related fields advantageous. Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in reservoir engineering positions in the oil and gas industry.Pay & Benefits
