Your Role

 

EF Cambridge International Language Campus is seeking a responsible and energetic individual to join our Residence Team for summer 2025. As Residence Advisor, you’ll play a vital part in creating a safe, welcoming, and memorable living environment for our international students, helping them feel at home while they explore a new country and culture. If you’re ready to step into a dynamic, people-focused role and help make a difference for students this summer, we’d love to hear from you!

 

This is a live in position where accommodation and full board is provided at no extra cost. Roles run from June/July – August 2025 

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Meet & greet new students on arrivalPrepare registration documents for new studentsInform arriving students about the student code of conduct Assist with checking in & taking students to roomsEnsure students are allocated to the correct room and bedRemind departing students of leaving date & proceduresRegularly check rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition & being well maintained & cleanedEnsure that reported maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently by residence staffUndertake residence walk throughsAssist students with problems and liaise with staff responsible about any issuesEnsure that residence rules are being adhered to and reporting all issues to ManagerRespond to emails, Teams messages and other various communications platform to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with in a timely mannerOrganise and partake in residence student activitiesEscort students to welcome orientation each Monday morningAccompany under 18 students to medical appointments

 

 

Requirements

 

Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essentialHighly motivated, energetic, positiveCustomer service orientated, friendly & approachable mannerAble to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situationsSensitive to needs of international students living away from homeExcellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clientsAttention to detail, organised & thoroughAll offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two referencesLegally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
