Residency Program Coordinator
Description We are seeking a Residency Program Coordinator to join our team in Oakland, California. In this role, you will be coordinating and managing various activities within our residency program. This position offers a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity, and you will be working in a hybrid model with potential remote work on Tuesdays. Responsibilities: • Facilitate the planning, organization, and evaluation of all residency program activities • Serve as a departmental representative on GME committees • Handle the electronic residency application process (ERAS) • Complete CODA surveys, standards requirements, and update trainee data on the tracking system • Organize and manage the interview process, ranking, post-match activities, and information related to recruitment fairs • Assist residents in obtaining clinical productivity information by improving access to productivity and quality measures data • Maintain American Board specialty tracking surveys and national reports • Oversee internal processes such as Med Hub Surgery Logger, ADEA Postdoctoral Application Support Service (PASS) • Manage supporting documentation for residency reaccreditation, regulatory issues, legal and risk management issues, and reimbursement audits • Plan and coordinate resident didactic courses and assist in the planning of resident events such as graduation • Meet regularly with the Program Director to discuss office management issues, activities and project status, and make recommendations for improvement. If you are interested in this role please apply now and call us at (510) 470-7450 Requirements • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with residents, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals • Strong documentation skills to maintain comprehensive records of residency programs • Proficiency in planning and coordinating residency schedules and activities • Commitment to quality and auditing processes to ensure program standards are consistently met • Ability to enhance productivity through efficient work methods and strategies • Knowledge of clinical trial operations to provide relevant advice and support to residents • Familiarity with consumer electronics to assist with technical aspects of the program • Experience working with residents in a healthcare environment • Understanding of protocols and risk management in a medical setting • Ability to conduct surveys for feedback and improvements • Experience in handling reimbursements and other financial aspects of the program • Proven ability to coordinate onsite activities and events • Proficient in office administration tasks related to the residency program • Experience in organizing committee meetings and related logistics • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in a healthcare environment • Familiarity with surgery procedures and protocols, if required by the program • Ability to utilize track systems for program management and resident progress • Proficiency in providing application support to residents and medical staff • Ability to work in both clinical and non-clinical settings • Familiarity with the overall healthcare environment and its dynamics.
