Residency Program Coordinator; Internal Medicine

Summary

SUMMARY: Provides coordination in the planning, organization, communication and evaluation of all activities within the Internal Medicine Residency Program. 

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  NOTE: The following are the duties performed by employees in this classification.  However, employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level.  Not all duties listed are necessarily performed by each individual in the classification.
 

1. Coordinates credentialing, privileging and provider enrollment paperwork for Chief Residents and internal medicine in-training examination administration.

2. Coordinates the distribution, tracking, and filing of physician-in-training, faculty, rotation evaluations, semi-annual file reviews and completion of Program Information form (PIF) for ACGME review.

3. Coordinates interview process, ranking, and post-match activities and information related to recruitment fairs.

4. Verifies Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) documentation and ensures visa requirements are met.

5. Completes ACGME surveys, milestones, and updates trainee data on tracking system such as ABIM Fastrak, FREIDA, and GMETrak

6. Maintains ACGME web ADS, American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) Tracking, ERAS, NRMP, surveys, and national reports.

7. Manages internal processes, including Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) process, Interview Broker database process etc.

8. Manages supporting documentation for residency reaccreditation, regulatory issues, legal and risk management issues and reimbursement audits.

9. Enables and assists residents in obtaining clinical productivity information such as improving access to productivity and quality measures, data, and resident education.

10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Education: High School diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.

Required Experience: Three years experience within a clinical healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience: Experience within a residency program or similar environment.
