Job Details The Resident Assessment Coordinator / MDS Coordinator is responsible to set-up assessment reference dates for all new admissions and PPS assessments. Do MDS’s for all Medicare/PPS and HMO’s as required. Monitor who is Medicare Part “A” eligible and follow until no longer qualified. Have an understanding of scheduling assessments and schedule them appropriately maintain a backup schedule for every resident. Knowledge of denial letters and sends them out when appropriate. Monitor interdisciplinary team and notify them in a timely manner for completion of MDS. Have knowledge of PRI’s, and be able to monitor and record a full house or quarterly assessment period Every effort has been made to make your job description as complete as possible. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing Program or an accredited College RN degree. Experience/skills: Minimum of three (3) years experience in long term care or a combination of long term care and acute care. Familiar with the MDS and Medicare/PPS knowledge; familiarity with RUGS scores and PRI scores. Must be knowledgeable of RAI processes, Federal, State and Joint Commission standards as they relate to Long Term Care and Sub-Acute Care. Familiarity with Federal Compliance and HIPAA regulations. Licensure: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in New York State. PRI certification required. Salary Range USD $58.00 - USD $61.00 /Hr. The pay for this position ranges from $58.00 - $61.00 per hour/per year. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
