About the Position:
RAs at EF have the opportunity to work one-on-one with a highly diverse student population and high-energy staff. The position requires great flexibility and requires you to wear many hats including but not limited to, administrator, leader, activity leader, role model, counselor, policy enforcer and superhero.
RAs have the amazing chance to get to know and work with an incredible population of international students. RAs will work a minimum of 20 hours per week (including nights and weekends, on-call shifts 1-2 days per week, and overnight emergency phone coverage 2-3 nights a week). Primary responsibilities include: helping the students at the reception desk, organizing and leading on and off-campus activities, performing administrative tasks, dorm room checks, dormitory duties, plus other duties as assigned by the Housing Director or School Director.
Previous Resident Advisor or Residential Life experience is a plus and/or an interest in education, counseling, and international relations.
Benefits of the Position:
RAs receive free room and board; this is a live-in position. This position is part-time, except during the summer. The RA position is a full-time position during the summer due to our increase in student volume. This means that for 8 weeks you will be expected to work up a minimum of 35-40 hours per week.
Resident Advisor Duties:
All of our RAs are responsible for the day to day supervision of all students living in an EF residence.
