Resident Cares Director LVN

Position Summary\:

The Resident Care Director, manages the operation of the Resident Care Department including\: maintaining standards in resident care services; supervision and oversight of the Resident Care Department staff including training and assigning overall duties in accordance with the residents’ needs; meeting financial and budgetary guidelines; and upholding state regulations/Cornerstone policies and procedures. The Resident Care Director also a valued member of the Community Leadership Team.

Key responsibilities include\:

Assessments - upon move-in of a new resident and on-going, and as needed per state regulationsPhysician Statement – assist in obtaining from Physician upon move-in of a new resident or if moving from IL to ALService Plans – upon move-in of a new resident and on-going, and as neededChart Set Up and Documentation - upon move-in of a new resident and on-going, and as neededPhysician Orders - As neededMedication Assistance Records – creation and maintenance of routine auditing and monthly creation of new recordScheduling of residents for visits from Doctor – as needed upon Family request or when neededScheduling of resident for visits from podiatrist - as neededCoordination of resident care with all Third-Party Providers (home health and/or hospice), physicians and familiesScheduling of x-rays, diagnostic tests, and lab work – periodically upon request from Resident physicianMedication ordering - weekly & and as neededHiring & Management of care staff – dailyScheduling of care staff - monthly schedules, daily staffing coordinationCoordination of continuing education for care staffAssign ADL tasks and responsibilitiesManage resident careIn-Service and Train staffManage Physician Orders, medication orders, care plans, and all other documentation necessary to coordinate care for residentsAudit resident chartsWork collaboratively with the Executive DirectorManage Level of Care and any changes necessary to facilitate high quality care for residentsIn coordination with Executive Director, assist in the marketing efforts for the communityIn collaboration with the Executive Director, assist with aspects of Human Resources for the communityNurturing, Welcoming and Compassionate personality

Pay range for the position $60,000-$70,000

Minimum Qualifications\:

· Ability to project a professional image

· Three tofive years in senior living experience preferred (Assisted Living specifically)

· Knowledge of nursing theory and standards of practice

Education and/or Experience\:

· Experience managing staff

· High assessment skills

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS\:

Minimum Qualifications\:

· Current LVN/LPN license

Minimum Qualifications\:
