As a Residential Counselor, you will:
· Demonstrate good judgement and decision making in the application of agency philosophy policies and procedures
· Maintain an awareness of each resident’s emotional, physical and spiritual needs and refers her to other team members (when necessary) to meet those needs.
· Provides immediate therapeutic crisis, intervention in order to provide structure and discipline in line with policies.
· Actively works as a member to the treatment team & contributes to the formulation of individual treatment plans for each resident though the submission of written reports and participation in meetings, Then, carries out treatment plans where appropriate.
· Provides transportation of residents for recreational trips, medical appointments, and train runs etc. in agency vehicles with prior approval.
· Supervises resident's personal hygiene routines, management of clothing, care of supply and equipment.
· Teach daily living and socialization skills.
Ideal Candidates must possess:
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience working with adolescents (preferred)
A strong belief in others ability to grow and change
Clean and Valid driver’s license
