ResponsibilitiesLead and Oversee: Manage day-to-day construction oversight and Resident Engineering efforts on multiple municipal contracts.Supervise and Report: Oversee inspection staff and ensure timely delivery of daily inspector reports.Liaise and Review: Act as a liaison to design staff, responding to Contractor RFIs and reviewing shop drawings.Technical Excellence: Provide technical reviews of construction plans, specifications, and project changes for constructability and practicality.Document Management: Oversee project document management, including record keeping, correspondence, logs, reports, red-line as-built drawings, and contract close-out documents.Safety and Compliance: Monitor contractor compliance with Health and Safety Programs, permit compliance, and coordination with regulatory agencies and city departments.Performance Monitoring: Ensure contractor performance, quality of work, adherence to schedules, and responsiveness to directives.Financial Oversight: Manage the contractor payment process, recommend adjustments, and maintain payment records.Inspection Management: Oversee the special inspection process, including scheduling, record keeping, and re-inspections.Effective Communication: Lead progress, safety, scheduling, coordination, and contract administration meetings with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.Staff Supervision: Supervise subconsultant staff, manage personnel scheduling, approve timesheets, and oversee training and development.Essential SkillsExperience: 8-10 years as an Assistant Resident Engineer or Resident Engineer on Water or Wastewater Treatment Process Wick’s law projects over $10M.Project Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Safety Commitment: Demonstrated commitment to a safe and healthful workplace.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills.Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Personnel Management: Ability to manage personnel and respond to corporate requirements.Training: 10-Hour OSHA Training.Additional Skills & QualificationsAdvanced Experience: 10-15 years as a Resident Engineer on Water or Wastewater Treatment Process Wick’s law projects over $25M.Certifications: Professional Engineer (New York active) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) Certification.Professional Involvement: Active participation in regional or national professional associations.Software Proficiency: Proficiency with Primavera and/or MS Project.Advanced Training: 30-Hour OSHA Training.Specialized Expertise: Experience with NYC DEP projects and water/wastewater expertise.Educational Background: Degrees in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.Work EnvironmentEnjoy a collaborative on-site work environment with standard hours from Monday to Friday, and occasional shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $150000.00 - $180000.00
Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, EAP, 401K, STD, LTD, AD&D, life insurance, paid parental leave, reward & recognition program, and optional benefits including well-being benefits, adoption assistance, and tuition reimbursement. Nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year.
